Rob and Kim Routson Family

Sunday night we went to a testimony meeting with all the trek participants and their families. Now when I say families, I mean parents. There were not a lot of kids. Rob was out in the hall with Tyler, and Chase was having a really hard time sitting still. He was so bored and he couldn't find anything to entertain himself. So, he got creative. When the next girl got up to bear her testimony she had the "valley girl" voice inflections. She concluded with, "In the name, of Jesus Christ, Amen." Each word she used a higher voice inflection. Right after she finished Chase instantly said, "In the name, of Jesus Christ, Amen," Using the exact same voice tone as the girl. As you know four year old boys have very loud voices that can be heard over a room full of talking adults. Well, this room was as silent as a grave yard and every single person in the room heard what he said. Every one starting laughing and every head turned toward me. My face turned bright red and I couldn't do anything but laugh with everyone else. Everyones attention finally went to the front of the room again, but you all know how little boys are. When they do something that gets a good reaction they are going to do it over and over again. In fear that this might happened, I left the room with Chase and enjoyed the rest of the meeting from the foyer.
